The La Mesa Library, 8074 Allison Ave, is hosting a Customer Appreciation Open House that includes activities for all ages. The event includes an opportunity to meet José Aponte, Director of the San Diego County Library, which was recently named the winner of the national 2012 Library of the Year award. The event is taking place on Thursday, July 26 from 2-4 p.m. and will include music, refreshments, and crafts for kids.
“The Customer Appreciation Open House is San Diego County Library’s way of saying thank you to the people that give us our purpose,” said Aponte. “The public is the driving force behind everything we do, and one of the best parts of my job is getting out and thanking the community for making our libraries great.”
The Customer Appreciation Open House includes a performance by The Yes Team – an Emmy award-winning trio that aims to spread unity through harmony.
