KidsWalk Brings Family Fun to Mission Federal ArtWalk

Mission Federal ArtWalk is proud to announce a fantastic line-up of new opportunities for kids and their families to experience the joy of creating their own original artwork at this year’s ‘KidsWalk.’

KidsWalk is a special venue within the Mission Federal ArtWalk fine art festival, which is dedicated to younger audiences and their families to engage in the art-making process. Traditionally located at Amici Park, KidsWalk encompasses both the park and Washington Elementary School in Little Italy, offering children and families a broad venue to discover their ‘inner artist’ and come and enjoy visual and performing art in a fun and creative way.

“KidsWalk is always a huge hit for kids and their families because it gives them an opportunity to actually get involved in the art process after walking around the festival and seeing thousands of works from the artists in their booths,” said Sandi Cottrell, managing director for Mission Federal ArtWalk. “The activities at KidsWalk are endless – from painting, sculpture, and drawing to a drum circle– there is truly something for everyone!”

Each year, a variety of different organizations in San Diego team with Mission Federal ArtWalk to inspire kids through exciting interactive activities such as Shoes of Hope, Ocean Art, Face Painting and Animal Masks, Mini Kite Making, art projects made from recycled and reclaimed items, and interactive music performances.

The line-up of KidsWalk activities this year include:
