San Diego Pride to Produce Two Publications Marking 36th Anniversary

In preparation for its 36th annual parade and festival on July 17 and 18, San Diego LGBT Pride is producing two different full-color publications containing maps, details and historical information about this year’s festivities. A glossy magazine-size Pride Program will be distributed regionally in early June and a handy pocket-guide will be made available to nearly 30,000 visitors entering the two-day festival in Balboa Park.

The publications also afford visitors a schedule lineup of live entertainers, plus exhibitor listings, festival highlights, shuttle information and biographical profiles of grand marshals and Pride honorees. In addition, the Pride Program will be available in Braille at both the Pride office and at the festival, and a Spanish version will be posted on the Pride website.

Pride is currently accepting ads for each publication, with early-bird rates offered in the Pride Program until April 14.

“Both publications provide excellent opportunities for non-profit organizations and businesses to extend their visibility to a large and diverse demographic,” says John Bilow, marketing managerĀ for San Diego LGBT Pride. “The publications are widely distributed to key consumer locations within and outside San Diego County.”

Last year’s parade and festival attracted nearly 200,000 participants and attendees.
