Attempted Kidnapping of Child in the Bay Terraces Area

San Diego Police Department Southeastern Division Detectives are asking for assistance from the public in locating a suspect in an ongoing attempt kidnapping case. On Sunday, May 16, 2010, a male juvenile was riding his bicycle alone southbound along the west curb of 1700 Manzana Way.
An unknown white male drove up quickly and parked by the curb behind the juvenile. The male exited his red older sedan and ran up to the juvenile. The suspect grabbed the juvenile’s shirt with one hand. The juvenile was able to get away from the suspect and quickly rode away on his bicycle.
Suspect description is a white male, 30-40 years old, blond or light brown hair, unshaven, heavy, wearing black shorts and a gray t-shirt. The vehicle is described as an older red, 2-door sedan, similar to a Honda Civic.
