DUI Sobriety Checkpoint on Tap This Weekend

On Friday night September 3, deputies from the San Diego Sheriff’s Department Poway Station will be conducting a DUI sobriety and driver safety checkpoint on Espola Road. The checkpoint will be staffed by approximately 15 DUI trained deputies. The purpose of the checkpoint is to remove impaired and/or unsafe drivers from the roadway and educate the motoring public, thereby increasing the safety of all drivers. This operation will be in conjunction with other DUI operations being conducted in other local jurisdictions.
The DUI sobriety and driver safety checkpoint will occur on Friday, September 3, 2010, between the hours of 7:00pm and 2:30am in the 13200 block of Espola Road, San Diego, 92064.
