Time is Running Out to Mail In Ballots
2010-10-29 · By Editor
The Registrar of Voters office is advising voters to mail their ballots by today, Friday, October 29, 2010, to ensure receipt through the U.S. Postal Service. By law, mail ballots must be received by the elections official when the polls close on Election Day. Voters who mail their ballots after today risk losing their vote if the ballot is not received by the 8:00 p.m. close of polls on Tuesday, November 2, 2010.
Voters who do not mail their ballots by today may bring their mail ballots to the Registrar of Voters office in person or drop off their mail ballot at any polling location.
Voters can also vote in person at the Registrar of Voters office in Kearny Mesa located at 5201 Ruffin Road, Suite I, in San Diego.
To make voting more convenient, the Registrar’s office will be open Saturday, October 30 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for voters who want to cast their ballots or drop them off prior to Election Day.
For more information about the Gubernatorial General Election contact the Registrar of Voters at (858) 565-5800.
In addition, voters can look up their designated polling place, access specific ballot choices and more by visiting the Registrar’s website at SDVote.com.
