One-hour concert features World Premiere Composition
For the past 3 years, Art of Élan has been filling the San Diego Museum of Art’s Hibben Gallery with adventurous music lovers in search of an innovative approach to classical music. The 2010-11 Season continues to engage and energize audiences under the heading of “OnVoice.” The third concert of the season features the Myriad Trio, featuring artists Demarre McGill (Flute), Julie Smith (Harp) and Che-Yen Chen (Viola).

Art of Elan Season 4: Perfect Union is Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 7pm at The San Diego Museum of Art, Hibben Gallery, Balboa Park.
Throughout history the relationship between patron and artist has given birth to countless masterpieces. With the generosity of SDMA Trustee Gordon Brodfuehrer and classical music supporter Sam Ersan, Art of Élan is thrilled to present the world premiere of “The Eye of Night,” a work for flute, viola and harp, commissioned by Art of Élan and written by esteemed British-American composer David Bruce. This concert, featuring the Myriad Trio and members of the San Diego Symphony, will also include works by Andre Jolivet and Aaron Copland.
All concerts are at 7 pm, San Diego Museum of Art Hibben Gallery, Balboa Park.
