Not Your Average Flower…

Everyday a band starts, and just about that same time, one ends.
What is it that makes one stick, last for 10 years, change music, and put a face to the genre that they expose?
Some critics would argue many points but no matter the answer it is in your gut. One band has taken the hold of many ears and vows to never let it go. That band is called ” The Filthy Violets.” Led by its charismatic singer, TFV has created a sound no person has the words to sum up. One fan protests ” They have the strength of the black keys… The versatility of the beatles.”
After 2 months of collaborating an album was born, ” Lackluster Blvd.” Set to release january this year, the four-some claims ” It just clicked.” Bandmates include Tim Sams on the drums, sporting lighting quick hands on a couple tracks on the album, followed up by the bass line engineer Cesar Canjura. Now the next two might have you ringing the ” I’ve heard this before ” bell but these two brothers are nothing like you have ever seen, Jeremiah and Jesse Lafica. Jeremiah, also known as Jeremy, is the older of the two, he is the soloist, and lead guitar. Some may say he just ads the color, but Jesse, the lead singer, would beg to differ. Jesse says, ” Without my brother, it wouldn’t be the same. That leads us to jesse himself the 20 year old singer song writer who at the age of 19 wrote and helped produce his first solo album, one that had a blues side you may not see coming!
The band manager refuses to be named and take any credit, but he says ” I wouldn’t do it if they weren’t so good!” After these four guys playing shows at the House of Blues and opening for national acts in less than 6 months of being together, you can expect a household name to join San Diego natives like Jason Mraz & Jewel.
